HISTORY
The Theresa Andrea Mike Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in November 1997 by the Mike Family in honor of their daughter. Born January 7, 1974 a member of the Twenty-Nine-Palms Band of Mission Indians, she past away on September 17, 1997 at the age of 23, leaving an infant daughter. This Scholarship honors her presence among us as a young woman and new mother. It honors her commitment to developing a sense of cultural richness, history, and future for the people of her tribe.
